Only down side is having to redo the bedding often enough to keep up with the mess. My ducks pounded woodchips into the mud fairly fast
That's why i thought about a real thick layer of chips, so they can absorb a lot of liquid, dry out, absorb, … and compost - not rot - during that time. And the ducks would have a lot of fun digging into their own compost and hunt for worms.

@Magnolia Ducks we are lucky to only have an annoying number. We don't keep grain on farm and until recently no hay. People (infact some of our companies other properties) have had to burn entire hay stacks that have just been destroyed by the mice Mind you I drove home through one of the hardest hit areas last night where videos of carpets of mice running over the road were filmed and only saw 7 mouses in 40km. But 8 bunnies. I hope it's not a changing of the gaurd sort of thing 😶
