I syringe fed them . tube feeding is hard with just one person. The ducks that didn't go to the vet now have green poop.

I wrapped my Runner in a towel sat her between my legs and tube fed her. My husband help one time after that I did it on my own. Having someone help at first gives you courage to do it without help because you have gotten it down the right hole and know you can do it.

Ill try in the morning. They are both very skinny. The others not so good either. I may lose all of them.

Tube feeding is what they need so they get nourishment. But reread that link about tube feeding because if they aren't drinking you may want to hydrate them first before you start with the food. It's nerve-wracking but listen if I can do it you can!! I tube fed my Runner 3X a day. Did the vet give you any instructions?

Yes and food to give them. She t old me to add more water than the instruction.

Me too. Successfully tube fed them this morning. I assume successful since nobody aspirated. Vet said I needed to feel the tube in the crop but I couldnt. @Miss Lydia s instruction to go down the left side of the duck was very helpful. Also the vet showing me the esphogas hole. They ate more peas this after no and I will tube feed them again. I have two more going downhill now. three Of th four girls left are all laying. Ill take that as a good sign.

Very Happy to hear you got it done. I never felt the tube either you can also measure on the outside how much tube needs to go into the crop.

Ha tube fed this afternoon and they were feisty. Got blood blisters on my hands from being bitten. I'm feeling more positive though I can feel both their keels. I think they are getting better. I left them some peas but they are major pissed at me. Just stood and rasped their displeasure. But they are drinking on their own now but only eating peas on their own. Ive got them on starter since I had a little left.

Ducks are so tough! Take the fiestiness as a good sign hope the others feel better soon
