Hi guys. Some non poop talk. Not that I can't keep up my share of poop talk. Up early making cevieche for lunch. Fish , shrimp and crab.. Last of the garden tomatoes. I have sooo many figs. I have some in the dehydrator. I'm making fig ice cream today and determining what neighbors like figs. I'm getting 2 lbs or 1 kilo a day. Its a fig disaster. But it only lasts a few weeks and they don't last long. Need to figure out how to make fig newtons.

Can you freeze or can figs??? I don't know anything about preserving them but maybe you can google it and see if you can save some for yourself for later.

They are Poop Machines for sure. I read somewhere that they Poop 96 times a day. I think mine all do at least 97 but I have not had time to count them. LOL

I have observed, that a little duckling poops every 20 to 30 minutes during the day...
So at the moment we have about 14 hours of daylight here, about 840 minutes, divided by 25 makes 34 per day. Add maybe half of this (17) during the night you get a total around 50 per day, times twelve ducklings makes 600 sausages per day...

Don't the ducks like figs? - Mine do have a sweet tooth bill…
I'd love to have a fig tree, but it is too cold during the winter here. Maybe in the future when i have a large green house...

You can definitely can figs in sugar syrup! - And that tastes really good, the syrup over vanilla ice and the figs eaten straight.
I know what the neighbors here would do with a truck load of figs, during a full-moon night…

@Magnolia Ducks: You can put figs into jars and fill those up with some high octane spirits. The resulting fig-liqueur tastes really good. I remember making fig liqueur with brown rum during my twenties. That works and tastes also very well with dates.

Thanks so much Frank. That makes me feel soooooo much better to know it's not 96 times a day. My pen looks more like the 96 figure but I like your math a lot better. lol
