i bought epsom salt poultice a while back just in case anyone ever gets bumblefoot…
and i just realized i can also use it for a sprain, and Chubbs (sprained I think) ankle is swollen and a little blue. so i applied some and wrapped it.
Hope Chubbs is ok! Is it different than regular Epsom salts?

Some ducky goings-on at our place...

- Duck house II - the sequel finally being put together.

- One of the young ducks suddenly refused to walk, hardly gave a peep, did not join the group for the pea party ... moved to the mobile hospital (half of an apple crate), given vit/min mix in water and peas, did not eat at all for several hours --- and was fine and walking well in the morning. Insect bite?

- The New generation ducks don't know what snails and slugs are. They never had the opportunity to meet one because the veterans eradicated them last year already. So we need to ... import snails from neighbors. What is the world coming to. The ducks were super suspicious toward a big blob of snails at first so I had to separate them out a bit... and then realization dawned and boom, gone.

I have offered the neighbors the free snail removal service of my ducks, but they are too concerned about their plants…
And they're right! :gig
Sunny and her ducknagers managed to follow me into the veggie garden today and enthusiastically "helped" me to remove the lower leaves from the brussel-sprouts plants…
… and from the Kohlrabi, Cauliflower and Kale plants too.
Then they discovered the few tomato plants and had to be evicted.
