Khaki Campbell Dux are considered the most skiddish breed, but as @Magnolia Ducks already said, it all depends on the individual duck and their experience with you. Milka Dux, hatched and raised by my dux-flock was fearful and rather stumbled and fell on her belly than not looking at me when i was outside. The she got dognapped and spend a week in the house with Chaos and Mayhem. She was being handled twice daily, recovered completely and since then i can candle the eggs on which she is sitting. She and Number Twelve are the spoke-ducks for the flock, walking right up to me asking for treats. And when they see me with any garden tool they turn into little feathered dogs...We have 12 = 6 + 6 in two containers. After a week they are getting quite strong and inquisitive, trying to figure out how to jump onto the heating plate
I must say though... I'm beginning to suspect that the "Harlequins have a more peaceful character than Campbells" thing is fake. They are loud and active in a way that our Khakis were not (... and they are big healthy ducks today so it was not a bad batch).
