anyone on here want to sell my some pekin duck eggs?
I would offer but my girls aren't up to full output yet. Got to fill the order for the high school student who is doing his senior project on ducks. In the meantime, fertility check in progress.
enabler? no

Yes, she is an enabler. That's not a bad thing.

Bonnie, our 13yo boxer, passed away peacefully this evening at home with Iain and I at her side. RIP little girl.
So sorry about your Bonnie! Hugs and positive vibes!

Bonnie lived a full life rescued from the grave
She has the sunshine in your eye
from the scratches that you gave
Gentle nudges that silently said good-by

She flourished with your love
Constant spoiling you made an art
She will be looking at you from above
because she knows your heart

Her sloppy kisses and gentle nudge
Sad she left this earth
God called and would not budge
Heaven called her first

Above the bridge & over the rainbow
Amidst the sorrow and the pain
there she waits for you in a gentle bow
To hold you once again
Beautiful.
My 1st 2 EMU eggs are in Lockdown!

PLEASE PLEASE HAVE Emu babies in them

Wow. Your emus should be trying to hatch at the same time that my duckies are hatching. You are required to post photos immediately after they are settled.

My biggest fear would be a emu stink bomb egg. Glad you've got the stethoscope.
Are Emus too dark to candle? or do you not have a candler?? Good luck how exciting!
Speaking for RG since I didn't want your question to get buried. They are a beautiful dark blue. Impossible to candle.

I went to Jerry and Psue's today. I came home with this guy and a splash sumatra hen. I didn't get any pics of the chicken because hubby was cuddling "his new chicken Pepper" until it the kids came home, and the littlest one isn't feeling so hot so I've been busy with her since. Halloween got picked on by Minnie for about 5 minutes, then the rest of the day they were hanging out and acting like nothing was new. He is keeping out of beaks reach from her, but I think a few days and a full pool would probably change that quickly.

We really all need to meet up sometime this spring.

Yet another reason for me to be impatient for spring. She probably was, lol. Everytime I looked outside they were just eating a few feet from eachother, hoping for a nicer day so I can actually watch them for awhile and see how they act together. And fill up their pool. If she was trying to make a pass, that should give her plenty of opportunity to try again.

Thank you for your sympathies. The first day after is always the hardest, but hope things will be a little better tomorrow.

Julie, Congrats on getting Halloween! He's one of my favorites!

Just candle.... if you want ~ I just hatched my 1st ducks this morning ~ 2 cayuga babies. Totally forgot how long they take to pip, zip and hatch! They pipped 2 days ago, and just finally emerged today! Molasses Hatchers! All my eggs are taking an add'l 4-5 days because I am running my bator at 98.5

What kind of bator do you have again? I am still doing good hatches with my chicken and duck eggs. Can't wait for goose! I need something hatching & more important candle-able to keep me sane

This is my 1st time hatching these crazy prehistoric eggs ~ I have heard how hard these are to get to actually hatch. I have my fingers crossed, but trying to not get my hopes up just yet.

No pipping yet? Are they wiggling? Are the air cells dropping?
Air cells dropped, two internals at last check. Lots of wiggling. I'm just impatient because I don't want them to hatch when I'm at work.

I candled when I got home from work. Steamed the bathroom us nice and good. Two internally pipped. I think out of 7, 5 are looking most promising. The other two seem to be moving, but I can't see much, one might be wrong-way.

I'm running Hovabator 1588's and two frankenbators made with the incukit. Still looking for a fixer-upper cabinet.
