I don't have to really worry about hawks here in town. We have raccoons running around and squirrels stealing the ducks food.

So my eggs that were supposed to hatch the 28th (the ones that were in the bator for over a week before I realized the turner wasn't plugged into a working outlet) started hatching a few days ago. Not really sure why they decided to come early. They were all collected and placed in the bator within 2 days of each other and day 28 is on the 28th.
Anyways, so far I have 7 out of 15 out. 2 are crippled, one has a leg that formed in the wrong direction and the other had a crooked neck and leg that prevents him from walking. I gave them to someone I know who has spare time to give them therapy and individual attention to see if she can help them.
I candled the rest and they are still moving so I'm going to wait it out and see of any more will hatch.
Here are a few pics. Not 100% sure on breeds, but looks like 3 blue swedish, 2 cayuga, and 2 khaki campbells. I was expecting some pekins since STILLMECLE had so many from the eggs she got from me.
