Ok, Still I never asked before but will now. What are the time lines you go off of for hatching? As in how many days for chicken, duck, goose? Also what do you call day 1? You are running a still air around 100-101 normally right?

Wow, you'd better ask Celctic about this. I' have never in all these years had anything hatch a week early. Are these shipped or local eggs? If local, maybe you lucked out and got some started, but didn't die in the trip over& into your bator. Otherwise, I can't conveive of an explanation for this.
Marty, I don't keep babies in the house past 48 hours old, lol. However we have the brooder house so they are well protected.
Iain, I did see that picture this morning, very cute they are camped out now. I would say if hubby will build another outdoor playpen for the goslings put them out during the day, but put a low watt heat lamp in the structure so they can easily warm back up if chilled.
Still, it is normal for a spot of blood when a chick is pipping as they can sometimes hit a vessel. Just keep an eye on them. Sounds like they are very strong and will be zipping soon.
they totaly hurt my feelings i mean come on i spent 2 days helping you guys hatch and they are scared of me.
like really? did you imprint on a **** egg instead of me. how much closer to a mommy can you get!!
ok. that was my rant for the night lol.
MY DH brought some of these yesterday! A bouque of babies....
Never seen anything like these before.

Marty, can you build a room inside the barn? This way you don't bother the exterior and have a safe place to brood as well.
