Time to play "Guess that Chicken's Sex!"

We have 18 black australorp chicks- 5 weeks old. I know it's a little early to determine sex, but thought it might be fun to try. Technically, no more than 1.8 of these chickens should be male. But, you cannot have a partial bird (that isn't in freezer camp), so I will round to two. I think we have four to six.

Which ones are boys and girls?

1, 2, 3 & possibly 4 are cockerels. Need better side profile of 11, but not much red in the comb, so thinking pullet.

Yes. It is. We are building a second coop and break ground on it Wednesday or Thursday. They will have it all to their little selves. We have a large extended family with lots of elderly members and want to help out with eggs and garden stuffs when we can. It's definitely not cheaper, but at least we know how they were treated
