Tip for overheating birds

I get watermelon and cut into slices and freeze them. Then when it's so hot I put a couple of the frozen melon slices in a pan of water. It keeps the water cool longer and of course they do love watermelon.

I thought about doing this to! My probblem is that my freezer is small and narrow. Maybe if I cut them in ice cube trays.?

Really!? It sounds like you know what you are doing to me!! And it sounds like you are doing a great job!!

I’ve learned a lot while dealing with some terrible health issues, I’ve learned to do my own research and not just go with whatever someone else tells me even if they sound like they know what they’re talking about. I learned the hard way that just because someone works at a feed store or is a vetrinarian suggested by UC Davis Veterinary hospital it doesn’t mean they know squat about avian health and that expierienced duck and goose owners are better sources of information...to a point. Not everyone’s right about everything “including me” and misinformation spreads easily so that’s why it is important to always do your own research with anything.

During summer mths, I keep milk jugs, half full & frozen. I put them in water bowl, changing out as they melt.

Could use smaller bottles (soda, water, etc).
