Trip to feed store leads to political arguement!

And as far as the ads go, I stopped watching them a long time ago! I have been watching the War Room on Current TV! with Gov.Jeanifer Granholm.
I can't stomach another ad, All of them are misleading and there is one that is a local ad that makes me want to throw the remote through the screen! And I just read on Yahoo, that this may be a nightmare election here in Ohio, If the polls are right and if the race for Ohio is as close as they are predicting, then they are going to have to decide the election in Ohio by the provisional votes. And they can't start counting them by law until Nov. 16. We will go from seeing the endless ads to the breaking news stories about the election uggg it will never end!

I didn't base my choice on the election from the ads anyway! I did it based on what my family has been through and what I researched and learned on my own! And being a woman who has worked in a mans world for less wages than the men I had my mind made up the day President Obama signed the Lilly Leddbedder bill!

What ever the out come is I still love all my new found chicken peeps here at BYC!

When I returned to the US in 1966, US Customs confiscated my flip flop and thermos jug because they were made in Red China. At that time nothing made there could legally be imported to the US. Of course the US was buying a lot of stuff marked made in Hong Kong. But in reality, nothing is really make in Hong Kong, it is only marked that way and shipped out of there.

I guess I was wrong about who signed NAFTA. Not that I really care, what matters is that it was signed along with other free trade agreements. Free trade sounds great on paper but in reality it gives companies a tax break that makes it profitable to outsource production to 2nd and 3ed world countries. I am usually a big fan of small government but not with trade. High import tax on manufactured goods makes it more profitable to build factories in country. Low or no import tax makes it profitable to only have one factory somewhere in the 3ed world. Ross Perot warned that outsourcing would be the effect of free trade but here we are years later with people shocked about there jobs going elsewhere...


I dont care who owns what company ether. If dodge wants to sell to Egypt, they should build a factory in Egypt(which they have). An if VW wants to sell to the US, they should build a factory in the US(which they also have). Any company that does not do that should be taxed heavily for it with import taxes.

And you want to talk about a trickle down effect. My husband received a letter from his Union Pention that he paid into for 21 years that in 4 years there would be no more funds to payout! Thank god my husband is of age to get early benefits, But at big loss! And from what I just read on the teamsters blog spot, I have Romney to thank for that too!

Yeah, politics are really heated right now. Even at work I have heard one of my bosses ranting and raving about it, I was quite shocked at the faux pas. One thing I don't understand is the amount of people that assume I am with their party and start talking politics with me. I brushed one lady off by saying "Oh, I don't follow politics" trying to politely end the topic and she told me "Well, you should" like that would make me see things HER way. That annoyed me. Can't wait for the election to be over.

Mussolini said that paper never refuses ink. Don't believe every thing you hear or read. I don't believe Romney had anything to do with Teamster pension funds. How do you link Romney to that pension fund?

Well it finally got to where some people cant blame everything on Bush so now it's Romney. Even Sandy is Romneys fault.
