I do too. Do you ever do a rooster's screech when there's an aerial predator around? I do, and it's amazing how well my hens listen. They'll instantly run for cover or freeze, eyeing the predator. Even though I now have a rooster, they still will listen to me better than him.

I've had to calm them down after a scare. Agathae actually tried to find me after laying a egg. She did the escort call and everything while running to my office. I picked her up, made a couple "chicken noises", and she was quiet.

I'd have better luck getting mine to run for shelter if I throw some broccoli where I need them to be.
