We need your help-Got another letter from the town

I smell a rat. It is just too coincidental that all these tiny munincipalities are cracking down on chickens all over the country. They are well organized and have "eyes" everywhere and love to pick a thousand little battles rather than one big one that makes the radar for a larger population.

Do you really think they are snooping around looking in peoples backyards and then reporting it to the town? What do they want all the chickens in the world to be "free"

These chickens are as free as they're going to get and have the best life possible. I just don't understand people sometimes..

non existant? Well how is reporting me to the town going to make them non existant, they'll just end up at someone elses house. I just don't get these people, they want peace, but they just cause trouble.

They would not even treat my dog because she was not spayed and I showed her. I thought they wanted to help critters so yeah, I don't support them at all. Good luck fighting the battle!

If I recall correctly from my constitution class, if you have "posted" signs or whatever up, you can tell them to leave and they can't enter the premisis without a warrant issued by a judge.

I may be wrong.

We had the same problem. I have a blue heeler that I show and occasionally breed for working dogs, they wouldn't even talk to us. Our humane society is crazy, they put you through the 3rd degree if you want to adopt an animal, it's ridiculous. The only animal I've gotten from a shelter was my border collie that came from a shelter in ohio that still gassed dogs. My heeler I got from a breeder, and my staffie I got from a friend who found a pregnant dog, all my cats we've gotten from friends also.

We'll be getting signs today, and hanging them up everywhere, and we'll keep the dogs outside too, they'll protect the chickens with their lives.

That's what I would do.

Be careful with the dogs outside, though. Protect the chickens as they may, if they bite an authority figure, they'll likely take your dogs to the pound, or shoot them. And apparently, it's okay. I found that out several years ago with my cur & my heeler. That's another story for another day.

Just be very, very careful.
