Wow so many Welcomes. Thank You. I feel very welcomed. Sorry about writing my question here. I think I got a bit confused. I did mean to post some photographs of our chooks too, but I just forgot. so, here are some pics of our little family of Chickens.
Hi Jayson and welcome to BYC We're so happy you've decided to join us
best of luck on your hatch, from what you describe things are looking good @WVduckchick can you take a look at Jayson's info and offer opinion/advice?
Incubating at less than ideal temperatures and conditions "can" cause developmental issues. I believe that most issues would just cause the chick to die without hatching. But sadly, occasionally I have some to hatch with issues severe enough for euthanasia. The problem is those issues can arise even with "perfect" conditions. Sometimes its genetic, or some other unknown factor. So there is always a risk when artificially incubating.
I like to encourage others to hatch, because it's a beautiful miracle to witness. This forum is full of enablers!
But unfortunately the possibility of something going wrong always exists.
I would be happy to provide any assistance I can, and many here are also willing to help. I would suggest you start a thread in the Incubating section (someone linked the section in a prior reply). Several Educators and knowledgeable folks will pop in and give tips and advice. Maybe start with details and pictures of your setup.
