I sure wish you lived closer to Maryland, US. I have a beautiful show/breeding pair of porcelain d'uccles that need a home.

I'd travel far for them but the red tape of importing would be a mess, plus I'm not allowed roosters

Oh trust me she is a terrorist! The chicks are technically hers. When I asked her why she didn't want one she said "they are weird looking and don't look like they have eyes!!" Ugh child

I want to be clear that I’m not a terrorist or affiliated in any way with any five year old terror group... but I agree with her on the looks of silkies...

I have the same issue with DD. I love the Silkie Showgirls. They remind me of Mrs. Toucanella, of Horton Hears a Who fame, but DD thinks they're the ugliest things on the planet. She, on the other hand, wants ducks, but we have no space. So, if I push the Showgirls, I'll probably get ducks, as well - and we really don't have a place for either.

If I DID have room ... let's see, What would I add?

Sultans
Sebastopol geese
Bobwhite Quail
Something small really rare that needs conserving - anything "chicken"
and yeah, okay, some Cayuga ducks.
I guess I should start buying lottery tickets!

Among them, White Faced Black Spanish and Nankins.

I've seen White Faced Black Spanish bantams at Fon du Lac and Nankins at the Hutchinson show.

Mine have been able to eat the Purina Flock Raiser pellets.
I only have Cochins and a Japanese hen.
But I have a D’Uccle chick now as well as several more Cochins.
I’ll be getting 16 bantam Bearded Belgian Antwerp Quail chicks the first week of May.
I hope they can eat the pellets when they grow up because the crumble makes a huge mess.

I became insane for the little bearded, clean legged cuties when I saw them posted by somebody (can’t remember who).
Murray McMurray makes you order 15 chicks even in the summer months so I have to sell several because I don’t have the space.

I got mine from Aubrey Webb. But all d'Anvers are beautiful!

I also own some quail d'Anvers that I do not have any pictures of yet.
