What breeds do you wish you had?

Google them ... it's hysterical ... but they work! I line mine with a small pantiliner. It saves a lot of cleanup and makes them last longer.

I.E a Buff Orpington, Buff Brahma, Black Australorp, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte are not breeds.

Buff, Black and Blue Laced Red are colors

Orpington, Australorp, Brahma and Wyandotte are breeds.

I have a wish list! But hubby is keeping a close eye on me I’m a real hoarder and love collecting and think a basket of colourful eggs will be so cool. One day I’d like to get:
• Welsummer
• Blue Leghorn
• Gold laced wyandotte or silver laced (but hear the silver laced aren’t as good layers??)
• light Sussex (as we are moving house to Sussex Road soon lol)
And then further down the track Id like:
• white orpington
• blue laced wyandotte
• and an Australorp

Ae already have : 2 Araucana, 1 PBR, 1 blue orpington, and a barnevelder

Nope, live in a narrow minded suburb of Milwaukee, I have 1 acre, no chickens allowed. I just got them View attachment 1891591 View attachment 1891592 because I always wanted them. They live in my enclosed garden. I built my own coop last summer after realizing a prefab coop was not going to work in Wisconsin, I've learned a lot!! Especially from the folks here

A really great way to disguise "illegal chickens" is to make your coop out of a child's wooden playhouse. There are always a few available on the internet, usually free just for hauling away.
