definitely gonna do this, not sure what I will set yet !!! .....I can offer a prize ...how about a large priority box full of eggs from my mixed flock....thread starter can pm me if interested..

Candled mine really quickly today, a fast look at them and several (I didn't count...LOL!) have distinct veining and some have what looks like lighter veining. I will candle on day 7 and then on day 14, to see for sure what's going on. These look promising though. Keeping fingers crossed.

I found out the other guy sent my eggs to the wrong address, so he got them back. He is going to resend them tomorrow.... I should have them Thursday or Friday. Hopefully Thursday.

Hello everyone! Just heard about the world hatch along and am very excited:) I have two mallard/pekin crosses in the incubator. One is due about October-7-9th and the other is due due around October 14th-15th. I may be a few days off but would love to be part of the hatch along. My mallard drake, Shamus, was born earlier this spring. I hatched him in an incubator when my broody mallard decided to leave the nest. I was very surprised when he bonded with my Pekin hen and they produced fertile eggs this month. I can't wait to see the new babies:) This should be interesting:)

Candled one more time before I keep my paws off for a few days (till day 10). I have 13 of 18 that have veining, some with super nice looking veins, some with less, but 13 of them have something going on. This is excellent! I am excited about this setting so far, and *should* get my other eggs tomorrow. I am going to go ahead and set them in the same incubator for now, but I'm going to give in and buy a second 'bator for them so I'm not doing a staggered hatch... just two separate ones.

Since my eggs didn't work out, I think we might set some Trader Joe eggs in the 'bator on the 21st? LOL Our white leghorns are actually quite sweet, of course they're only 4 weeks old, but we spend a lot of time with them and hold them a lot, and since I got home less than a week ago, my daughter and I have really tamed them up again quite well! Really hope someone will want the boys when they're older, as we can't keep them :(

Yes, hang in there and set the Trader Joes! I am *fingers crossed HARD* looking at 13 of 18 Serama eggs growing, and 25 more coming tomorrow. It goes to show that sometimes it's not you, it's the eggs or the moment. I have amazing luck with the eggs I get from Beth on here. ^..^

Boy am I getting excited with the anticipation of set day . . and I'm not even hatching this fall!!! I can only offer a variety of eggs from my mixed flock of black sexlinks, marans, amercaunas, RIR SLW and other very good layers. I can pull together 1-2 dozen a day until they all go into molt.

Is there a going to be a count of total eggs set and number hatched??????
