World Egg Day Hatchalong!(October 12, 2012 is World Egg Day!)

Okay, guys! Hatch day is coming up. How's it going with getting your eggs?

Ok, I will be sort of joining in. I have 20 Serama eggs arriving tomorrow, which will be set on the 15th (super early for an Oct. 12 hatch I know, but close) and then I will have 25 MORE Serama eggs arriving one day next week, which will put those closer to the Sept 21st set date. Can I still hatch along? :D This will be my biggest hatch ever, and my first staggered hatch. It could get fun!

(And by "fun", I mean nerve-wracking and will keep me up at night...but still enjoyable :D)

Yes, please do join. Even if you won't be hatching on the exact dates you can still join in on the fun.

So eggggg citing to see so many people hatching !!!!!

I was not brave enough the first time to build my own, but after using the LG I sent for it. Definitely a can do project. I have NO electrical skills, and I wired a light bulb and WHT to gether and it actually worked!!!!! In my cooler bator I can set 6-7 dozen eggs, then put those ready for hatching in the LG.

If anyone needs eggs send me a PM--I have blue AMericana with Easter EGgger hens. THese free range with other hens and roosters. I can put together a pen of olive eggers too. THe Barn Yard special is always popular-- a mix of mutts.

Hubby has had the home made 'bator on for almost a week. Youngest daughter has volunteered her room, which is the most stable in the house, and hubby says we get less than a degree difference between 99 and 100 degrees, mostly at 99.5. I'll believe it when I see it! No update on our eggs from usps, so I'm really hoping they'll arrive tomorrow. I'm afraid LA and IL are places where civil service moves at their own pace... :p. So I'm trying to be patient. At least the PO here still opens on Saturday :fl
