When a duck has a fever, it won’t be panting. Panting is how they decrease their body temperature because they’re too hot. When they have a fever, their bodies are trying to get hotter so the heat will hopefully kill any foreign invaders.
I’d just watch it. I know mine pant when they sit on my lap too long. How’s it doing other than the panting? Seems like you’ve done a great job so far.
