I wish I would have read this article before I lost my last chicken. I didn't realize that an impacted crop was probably the problem. Still a newbie at raising chickens, have so much to learn! Is there a good book on these issues I can get to keep on hand? Thanks
I live in Florida so I water the ground so that it makes puddles and then they go play in the puddles and it helps cool them off

One of the best articles out there, even a dummy like me can follow those instructions!
You are so lucky! I wish my husband was that handy! I had to settle for a prefab one 😒. This is a great article, well written and gave every little detail that I thought I might want to see.

Pretty good article but I don't understand is why the eyes got so bad before he treated them, my chicken had pus running out of her eye and I started treating it as soon as possible and it never looked like that.

I watched a YouTube video where a guy put 500 PPM colloidal silver in the roosters eye. I did that with mine and it cleared up in a couple days but it was a good article as a reference, wish I read it before I tried other things.
