Other than a photo and a very brief description of this small coop, there isn't any information on how it was built.

I've never sent a bird for a necropsy but always wondered how it was done. Your article sure spelled things out and the pictures were helpful.

A good list of things needed in a poultry first aid kit!
It would be helpful to others wanting to build a small coop/run to have more directions on how this was built. But overall, it looks like it would work for a small backyard flock.

Nicely done, I like the additional run space that was added for the larger flock!

Some good reminders to be courteous of others, especially toward those that may not share our enthusiasm for poultry!
I usually avoid reading much about processing birds (too squeamish I guess), but this article was so well written with a great deal of sensitivity, that I read every word.

Looks like it works well for you. What was your total approximate cost?

When I built this one, about $50.00. The deicer was $35.00(most expensive thing) I like gamma lids, for the ease of taking them off, worth $7. something to me. You might build it for less money , if you wanted to use a different heater and no gamma lid.

Some day when I get to build a new coop, this is going to be one of the first articles I'll use to help me with figuring out the layout. Very helpful!

Having lived in Florida, I can see the value of such an "open air" concept. And I like the chunnel!
