Wow i really love your coop - just gorgeous - quirky and cute and settles so well into the environment! Your pics are great to show the process and the coop itself looks practical for getting brooms in to clean etc. Did you end up doing another article for the extension? My favourite has to be the long distance door opener - fabulous idea!!

This is great - I wish I'd seen this before I built my silly one! Considering doing something similar as chicken maths has hit hard!

Really good informative article! Love the diagrams to help us visualise your set up. Great ideas for integrating, and great photos to show what you are explaining. Thank you!

I read one of the other articles about integrating early (aarts maybe??) and we have done that with all 3 lots of broody chicks, kept them in for a few days, then into their own little run then open gates after a week or so and we have no problems with our 3 lots of chicks (all 3-4 weeks apart) and the big pullets (7 months).

Really good in depth look at what is possible when you are on a limited budget! Love the accompanying photos too! Where there is a will there is a way! Your upcycled coop ended up looking really nice once painted etc. Great job!

I wonder how the things you have done are working out - your cleaning doors look quite small (Iḿ currently being driven made by not having my walk in coop yet!!). Is there anything you would do differently next time? Love your Christmas decorations I think Iĺl do mine this year too!

Nice repurposing project but Id think they still may need more ventilation than only an inch.

I almost bought one as well (although not as nice / big as yours!) but dh vetoed me and we repurposed a huge planter instead! Really lovely job and a great way for people to have an idea of what can be down as you say thinking out of the box. These things are well built too - much better than a crappy coop from the shops! Id love to see the addition of some measurements and maybe inside pics!

Really like your storage area, I currently have things hanging about all over the place so may well go back over my plans to see if I can add some storage! Great having the wiring plans (even if they are goggygook to me!) and videos.

Thanks for all the photo and written details - if I can´t get dh to help me with my big wooden coop I may need to do one of these for the winter! How cold does it get where you live?

I love that you have built much of this from recycled materials! The set painting inside is just gorgeous! Would be nice to see the update that you promised (or a link added to this article if you have already done it!).

Great having the plans properly done so easy to see. Unfortunately some the photos are no longer visable - would be nice to have it updated if the member is still on the site.

As the owner of a sloping garden I appreciate the thought and work and design on this one! I also really like the raised storage - again clever use of space without reducing thier floor space.

Sorry Opal didn't make it - was it the avocado?

Amazing! I'm going to be checking back for inspiration for sure - it is like you have read every single good chicken idea and used them all! My only complaint but not worth loosing a star would love a bit of a write up but there are so many photos that it is like a photo essay so I guess I can forgive you!
