    amarant grain - is this O.K. for chickens?

    I wonder if feeding little chicks with amaranth grain would be ok for them. The seeds are tiny, and nutricious. I'm trying to grow my own chicken-food, and fed whole grain. So, corn is ok for big hens, but what is ok for little ones?
