Going to try AGAIN- Anyone with Shetland geese?
I posted this earlier this year in January to see if anyone out in BYC has Shetland Geese and if they sold hatching eggs or goslings. I am putting it out there to see again for this coming spring!!! I know Holderreads does have goslings but they already have a waiting list for this spring :) -
Smooth Sebastopol question? Picture
The grey in front is in question. I bought him knowing she had smooth in her flock I am fine with smooth in my breeding program. BUT he is now 4 months I am new to smooth but should he have basically NO curling but more flat feathers??? Thanks!!!! -
Need serious Advice from sheep people?
I have right now 5 ile de france/dorset crossed ewes. They are only 3 months old. My plan was to find a dorset ram and breed them primarily for meat. can incubated goslings not imprint on humans?
Just curious if its possible to incubate goslings and put them with your geese right away like right after they have hatched and fluffed out? -
Broody chicken hatching turkey eggs? okay?
Well I have two bourbons that have begun to lay. I stuck 3 eggs under a broody chicken about a week and half ago, checked them today and none grew. Over Broody goose question?
I have posted a few question on here about my Sebastopol Pair and me taking eggs from her for incubator and more then half not being fertile. Anyways, she refuses to leave her empty nest..... How to promote mating?

I think this is egg is bad?
It is day 7 of my Sebs 6 eggs I took from her to see if I could incubate. Well I am pretty sure all of them are bad :( I don't think any our fertile. This is a picture of one: Again 7 days old. I see no blood vessels just a blob in the middle. -
Hatching Sebastopols first time! Advice?
First time hatching I usually allow mother goose to do her work but have decided its time to try this out! Okay so this is what I have done so far: I have 6 eggs in the incubator just put them in today. 2/4/13 Temp: is set at a steady 99.0 I won't turn on the auto turner till tomorrow...
