    Its pretty cool you got a solid colored egg too though, one of my oegb just started laying and popped out an egg a bit smaller than the quail eggs and I put it in with the quail eggs. It stood out like a sore thumb :)

    I made a walker for a chick like this with an old pair of pantyhose so it could move around while the leg healed. It worked really well for the chick and a few with spraddle leg.

    Is 2x4 welded wire ok for run fencing?

    we did the same, 4x2 welded wire with hardware cloth around the bottom. It works great, keeps critter paws out and chicken heads inside. :)
