Made a homemade ecoglow. Works great so far. Here are a few pics of it in use in the brooder with 65 chicks.i have regular light on top just for viewing and light. It don't really put off any heat.

over lapping is the way to go. I did the over lapping on mine. No air gaps. Don't know if you seen my pic i posted earlier butt here is another. Just make sure the boards are level and keep same spacing. I used a scrap piece of pallet and did a over lap of 1 1/2 inches.

looks great so far. My coop is built out of pallets. Looks bout the same size as yours. I used pallet boards as over lapping siding. This summer Im putting a new roof on it. Coops are always in a work in progress. :-)

My kindergartner did a project in school hatching chicken eggs. They are hatched 13 chicks and guess what he gets to bring them home. Super excited not only we hatch eggs at home my son got to do it at school. His teacher called said he did a awesome job and knows so much about hatching. So now...

you will love your puppy. We are very happy with ours. Our is being trained very fast very smart dogs. Im glad i was able to help make this happen for you. On the other note i am to expanding room for my flock. I acquired a 10x10 kennel for a very good price now just need to get shelter in it...
