I use gravel screenings in my runs, it works great, pack it down good and it will keep them clean and dry when it is wet and muddy everywhere else. It will pack down good so when you need to clean out the poop just drag it out with a flat shovel. It doesn't hurt their feet and if they...

To bad no blue orps LOL, just gave a blue banty cochin away, life of leisure at my bro's house.
No orps yet, but never know what tomorrow brings.
Evening All
Just a quick jump in to see if anyone has any blue, splash or black ameraucana hens. I would also like to find a pure blue or splash maran rooster to go with my new hens. I also still have a few blue cochin bantams left to sell if you know of anyone wanting some. As you can tell, I...
Happy New Year everyone
I am still looking for some pure Ameraucana hens, blue, solid black or splash only. I found a couple but would still like to find a couple more. I am north of Tulsa 35 miles so only looking for something within an hour drive, if you hear of any let me know. I am not on...
Hey Sooner tell your neighbor your are going to have a pig dinner for Christmas if he don't fix his pen, and I bet he will fix it. Ha Ha
Instead of chicken wire try using Apron wire, it is a 17 gauge hex wire that is 1 1/2" holes but it is thick like chicken wire use to be 50 years ago. I use...
Thanks for looking for me, I have a splash rooster found that I am picking up tomorrow. I hope I can find at least a solid black hen or two so I can get my own chicks this spring. Then I will keep my breeders out of them.
Evening guys, just checking to see if anyone knows of any Ameraucana hens out there. I am about 35 miles north of Tulsa and am trying to find some close to me. I am looking for solid black, blue or splash only, no bantams, big birds only. I am going to pick-up a rooster tomorrow and am hoping to...

Morning all. Pretty chili down in the SE part of the state. Poor Grace had to feed, move pens, water etc. (of course she does that every day) in the cold. At least it isn't raining like yesterday.
To all of the...

Wow! Very nice!
So are the doors on the side so you can open it up to retrieve eggs?
One is a egg door with 3 nests and the other is a feed door with a built in feeder. There is also a back window that shuts up tight, a lot of extras that make it easy to use and saves the back. My...

Really cool chicken tractor!
I just read your signature line and have never heard of Rhode Island Whites. Are they basically the same shape as a RIR but white? Also, I don't recall whether I ever asked you what variety of peacocks you raise.
RIW are close to the RIR, the whites are...
I have been busy all weekend finishing 2 chicken tractors, one I added 2. 6' runs on the sides. I still have to add wire to the runs but hope to have new photos of it on my website this week.
I think so, the bag I am still using is about 5 years old. I set the trap and the next day I have something. The older it is the better it is. I got 5 coons in 5 nights, not bad for just a tablespoon of powder.

I have used powder eggs for years, it will catch every coon, possum, skunk and cat within smelling distance. You just put a little powder on the lever and behind it, and a little in front of the opening and they will go right in. One small bag will last for years, I know the last possum...
