Cots mature at about 6 weeks and start laying and breeding.. as for nest boxes dont waste your time as they will hardly ever use them. they lay whenever and wherever they happen to be when its time which is usually on the cage wire or on the ground if kept that way..hope this helps

I add about a half cap full of ACV with the mother in it to a quart of water. as for the feed it does seem to help if you can grind the gbs up for the fist week or so and i jut put some on a paper towel around the feeder till they get the hang of it..

Yeah i still got lots of quail.. i have pharoah and texas a&ms and got some different colors coming and ordered some jumbo browns .. so yeah im quail poor and these are some laying suckers i get about 50 eggs a day now . have been pickling alot and plan on having some to bring to the june swap
