Hi! I'm look for 2 pullets, black, bearded Silkies. Can't go to Congress but my friend Stoopid (Roberta) will take them home or I can pick up if you're not too far from Long Island. Need some new blood in my flock. thanx!
I can't even let my chickens out anymore they're so bad! During day I'm shooing them like flies! They take chickens right in front of me...so brazen! Time to take down trap. No relocating; against the law here. Besides, you gotta go pretty far and they're not paying for my gas! Always like this...
We get hummingbirds by my pond. Too lazy to put out feeder. One day I was wearing a red shirt and I stood close to it & it was mezmermized by the red. Try it!
Can't watch War Horse. I have horses and can't watch any movies where animals get hurt. People are fine, but not animals. Used to watch Flipper. Every time he beached himself I cried!
Since my girls can't get out much anymore due to the raccoons, anybody know what plant I can put in a planter and hang in middle of their pen to pick on? Guess I can do any kind of vine like peas or cukes and let them hang?
I get an occassional rat in spring & fall & have no problem getting rid of them. You get the green/yellow poison blocks. You pit it in the rat hole, cover it with a brick so chickens don't eat it and keep replacing block until you see it in there and no one's taken it. Voila! I just had to do it...
I live in Wading River,ON the river, and if there's 1 there's 100's! Unfortunately can't shoot them during the day and that's the only ones that bother me. If I don't lock them up, that's my fault, but during the day, right out of the coop?! NOT!
Came out today during broad daylight and see a coon taking off with a splash hen! Had had a little too much wine so I went running after him and he dropped her (the beauty of wine)! She's fine, now nobody can go out until about 7PM and I spend an hour outside with them til 8. Poor guys. Gotta...
Had a GREAT time at the show yesterday & didn't eat the profits. Roberta is a dynamite packer & baker! Unfortunately, I am now more confused as to who everybody is than I was before! ALMOST bought the frizzle serama frizzle in the sale cage. Did good in show with 2 splash Silkies. Congrats to...
That's how I felt too. I usually use it in the brooder 1st couple of days for footing. And I take out of bator as soon as dry (sometimes sooner) so they don't lay on wire...I've had them get stuck in corners under wire!
I used the liner once to make my hatchlings "comfy". Be careful! It sucked up all my humidity! Once I removed it the humidity shot up. Just keep an eye on it.
