well ive been away for 2 wks & i get back & one of my pullets has laid her 1st eggs.
3 in total now i caught her laying yesterday, im soo happy. hopefully the other pullet isnt far away from starting either.
which means winter eggs..
yea here in new zealand we are at the start of autumn & i can def tell the temp diff now.
they are roughly about 26 weeks old there is a pic of them taken a couple of days ago pg 41, post 412
one is getting closer she has grown a comb & wattles & is quite red compared to the other pullet.
i have silver grey dorks but dont know the color of the eggs yet
im still waiting for them to start. which may not be for a while although 1 is showing signs of being close to starting but im currently at the end of our laying season.
yea i thought that boobs didnt start earlier as there is an older dominant roo. he is still real squeaky & hasnt got it sussed yet but he is getting there. i was going to take a video of him 2day but i didnt get there with the camera quick enough.

Cool! My girls combs are getting quite pink now too. How old are yours? Mine are almost 23 weeks. My boy was last to start crowing, something I really appreciate!

I'll have to...
my young roo boobs has started to crow this week & one of the pullets is getting a big red comb. hopefully she will start laying soon if so winter eggs
