Like as in they aren't brushed or just messed up crooked? Maybe you two can work out some kind of deal? I have bad teeth though and am very sensitive about what people think of them - so approach him carefully (mine are discolored from tetracycaline and all but 6 are filled and or have...
Well my last chick had to be helped out this morning. She is a beautiful silver blue. I was unfortunately disappointed last night to find out that they are crosses (astralorp and jersey giant) so back to the drawing board for me. I guess they will be pretty egg layers instead of what I was...
Well my first hatched guy has earned himself the name "Big Fat Meanie Jerk" He has a toe fetish like none I've ever seen and is dragging the youngest hatched one around by his toes. He better outgrow this.
I recandled the eggs left. 2 are still maybe's, one pipped internally and dead in the shell, 3 out and one new pip. I had to raise the humidity back up so figured while it was open I'd take a look at the remaining eggs. Oh I had 4 that I could see with the better flashlight were early quiters...
The Blue Giant finally has a buddy!! He is in there bouncing all around the newest chick to hatch, cheering him on. It is another blue JG. Two Blues to go with my two black pullets!
Jim the blue boy is crying and crying. I did slip him out for a minute, set him on the table and he ran right to me. He is super friendly and not afraid of me so far. I had to put him back in the incubator though and now he won't stop peeping at me.
I think I might have a new lap chicken.
I fell asleep reading around 11:40 last night to just the pip. This morning at 4:40 there is one blue Jersey Giant (cleaned legged so hopefully not mixed). Now he just needs a buddy. He is already fluffed so I am assuming he has been out awhile. Lets go buddies!

Yay! And, send me button quail..
I only have one right now that is about 2 1/2 weeks old. Then I have another 15 eggs that are due on the 9th - trying to get it a buddy. His name is Booger and he has had several adventures already...

I have read that JG can take longer. Maybe it was Bobbi Pronto's web site.
I have heard that too - I'm just messing with you but I think they are just normal JG. The guy I got them from thought he had the problem taken care of before he shipped me eggs.
Well I have at least one internal pip. I candled one with a good flashlight I stole from my mom tonight. I can't find my good one anywhere! I bet the dog ate it. ANYHOW regardless of MrHeinz trying to burst my happy bubble. I saw it's lil beak going "peep peep" silently.
23 days for Jersey...
