That one is gray.
I really hope it's a girl but it's probably a boy.
My gray ones have proved difficult to sex. Once they starting crowing I went out to the cage early in the morning and watched to see who would crow. It didn't take long to find the boys this way because once one of them crows they all start crowing. I had to go out there around 6AM though because that's when they would crow a lot. That one is gray.

I started my quail in the basement. It was weird eating dinner or watching TV and suddenly hearing the quails crow. Really spooky when the button quail started making noise until I figured out it was them. They are quiet if you are in the room but growl/crow if you are out of sight. My gray ones have proved difficult to sex. BTW, having quail in the attached garage has meant that we hear them crowing every morning and some throughout the day.
You can say that again. My buttons took to making very loud noises at 3 AM for a while.I started my quail in the basement. Fairly new here and thought I would say hi
I am new to hatching quail (myself that is) - my usual incubators tend to go on strike this time of year as I live in the UK and have from what I can gather I have an unconventional setup.
My birds live mostly in a large enclosed pen - I section them off for breeding - when I have an incubator ready that is. With a recent decision to concentrate more on the quail - this may have to change soon, especially as I will be hatching more myself.
I think it may be best to illustrate with pictures
My four new incubators; Daisy, Rose, Violet and Bluebell.

My Brooder a 4ft x 2ft wire-topped enclosure. I find it easier to create various heat levels throughout so the chicks can find their own comfort level. Room enough for a sand bath

Adorable Incubators! Looks like a very nice setup to me.
