➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Just don't use the one you have in the brooder with the bottle on it. I've had quail get inside them and die. With it full of feed.
I'm taking it out. Was looking for ideas just. I'm going to put some jar lids in there for now until they get a bit bigger. Then I'll put this back in, but without a jar/bottle on it. I am using a similar waterer, but with rocks in the tray.
I'll post more pics soon. Waiting for some to hatch and dry out/fluff their down a bit in the incubator. When I go to move them I'll take pics again.

Options for feeding trays anybody? I think they are too small for chick feeders I have from raising chickens. .
Will the top part with the holes pop off the one you already have? I did that with mine until they were big enough to use it with the guard, I just put it back on when they got big enough to start making a mess.

One of my most favorite-est quail pics I ever took. :D

There are 37 or 38 chicks in the brooder now. It's hard to count because some of them are huddled together for warmth while their down is drying still. There's still hatching in progress in the incubator as well. :jumpyLast I checked there were 5 chicks hanging out in the incubator and a few pips and zips.

I was able to remove the lid from the feeder. Thanks @KikiLeigh02 for the idea. I also added a pasta sauce jar lid as an even shallower option. Some have started eating already. They haven't messed with water, but I'll introduce them to it by dipping beaks once they are fully dry.

I also fashioned a fancy chick carrier transport device.

So fancy! :lau

I wouldn't take them out of the bator until they are dried. They can get chilled very quick when still wet. Also looks like several are spraddle leg because they can't grip the paper towels. If you have bath towel to place in the brooder it would be better than the paper towels.
Just what I see from the video and stills
