No, it is not salt tested, it is digital. My first hatch ran too high on the humidity. 40-50% for incubation and 70-75% for lockdown. The air sacs were so small that a lot of the chicks didn't even use it and just went through the shell instead. Some of my chicks hatched a little sticky too.I would not consider your humidity too low...more likely too high.
Is ypur humidity gauge salt tested?
I hatch out at 45% with no issues.
I decided to go 40-45% with 60-65% at lockdown this time and the air cells look much larger.
Do your hatches take very long at 45%?
