looks like wild type (but possibly falb fee) can’t really tell with lighting
next 2 tibetan (i have one of the laced ones like that....absolutely love the color)
final 2 are pansy....(chocolate manchurian)

But if you posted the first one because if looks different than a wild-type, it's probably just what we're calling "dilute pharoah." A bunch of us have had them pop up this last month! Just a wee bit lighter than the others.

That second one could actually totally be a charcoal too, I just can't tell in the lighting If he's got red tones he's not.

I would maybe call the third one a red range/rosetta? Looks like he's got one copy of extended red not two.

The last one is totally a pansy! How weird. That's a rare color to get randomly.

I am personally of the opinion that the parent stock were not all tibetans.

More pics of Project Backyard.....painting and staining will take a few more weeks and still have to rework waterfall but most of the big stuff is done for now!!! Exactly 1 year since we broke ground on the deck!!

yeah he likes to live dangerously!! luckily this was the smallest of my turkeys coming in just under 15lbs. and FAT! we started unthaw Tues....brined in cooler Fri....injected, rubbed and dried in cooler for few hours today prior to frying. mmmm mmmm good!

Lockdown is starting a day early here.
Lockdown means I take the Turner out...that is it.

I've just discovered that it is easier for me to use the phone light and shine it in the bottom of the egg to check for movement this late in the game.


I am trying to convince someone to help me take pictures with their phone while I use mine to look in the egg.

No takers just yet.

These are all the same egg with the regular flashlight.
Can't see much. I can't see any movement this way like I can with my phone.

My phone's light is the best candler I've found (granted, I've only tried the Brinsea one besides). I just make a little pinhole in some cardboard to keep the light from bleeding.

Being able to see the chick during incubation is so cool—I'll try to grab some video of the fetal heartbeats this hatch.

Cardboard and then a mouse pad or some other cushion foam. Cut a hole in both. Egg rests in the foam to kill bleed. Working well for me.

Cardboard hole smallest. Mouse pad hole egg size. Play with it. Everyone has an old mouse pad laying around.
