You completely lost me. :lau have absolutely nooo clue what any of that stuff is. :lau

Base? Huh?

Also, students?? Are you a teacher? A math teacher by any chance? :lau

And ooooohhhhhh pretty!!!! :love
I'm an IT Instructor. I teach a lot of different classes, but I specialize in Microsoft operating systems, networking, ticketing & troubleshooting, logical thought process. I was teaching subnetting today, which is... complicated.

Base... We count in base ten. I'll use B for base, B=base. 10=B.
If you're counting in base ten, 10 = ten.
If you're counting in base two (binary), 10 = two.
If you're counting in base sixteen (hexidecimal), 10 = sixteen.

That is the first bit. Then it gets confusing. :p

Ahhh okay. That makes sense then.

And that sounds simple enough.

I was waiting for you to edit it to finish it.

I had no idea I sent it!!

I am tired. :th
Umm... actually I do a lot of math in my head. I was making my students' heads hurt just today explaining base other math (base 2, binary, base 16, hexidecimal, and just for giggles and laughs, base 12 just to show that the math works no matter what). It's a hard concept to wrap your head around if you've never done anything other than base 10.

Somewhat back on topic, look at what came home with me from @CoturnixComplex ! Aren't they pretty? I'm keeping them separate until I can give them a proper intro to the rest of the flock starting Friday (close where they can see and hear each other, but separate) and hopefully integrating on Monday after work so I can keep an eye on them.

@Sara L has to take credit for those two beauties!! I'm cutting down sharply again after ballooning my population to match my excessive number of dudes. I didn't have them all that long but long enough to get some babies out of them. I wanted to keep that one with the white primaries real badly! Unfortunately, her sister injured her head last week which cemented needing to find someone knowledgeable to watch her instead of the put-upon petsitter. :barnie

The silver male is homebred though, and I am SO EXCITED to see what happens when you cross him on all the others; I haven't bred him yet.

I thought this was a good color comparison. My groups have full run of the whole cage levels now but I divide them off to move them around and clean them which means I can get pics like this!

Excuse the poop, I'd just scraped it but they're talented.

Momma (roux + charcoal) left, roux dilute son (very unexpected that he was a boy!) and charcoal neice on right.
