➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

i’ve read almost every book under his title list (with exception of some “kids” series new “book shots” collections, and some of the “private” series and newer “political” ones). most of my books now are audible so i can listen at bedtime vs keeping hubby awake reading.

Nice!! I should maybe try audio books. I might actually read more that way lol I did actually try some of the school ones that way. It was helpful to catch up.

But I do like following along. I’m a much more visual person so it can be hard for me to keep track of what’s happening with just audio lol

60/90 eggs set....couldn’t weigh as scale batteries dead and i didn’t want to waste time changing them......moved littles from shed to grow-out cage (8) and need to put more wood in there! they totally freaked on wire! that was a first! still have to lockdown after dinner and maybe take treats to aviary.....they were very upset that I had no treats when i moved babies in!!!

oh.....hubby interrupted my thought pattern on last post....hahaha! zack actually put 5 celadons in my mix!

I officially called my third hatch yesterday.

20 set
2 early quitters
2 failed to hatch
1 hatch with early death
15 happy chicks

I added this to the Google Sheet.

FOR NEW HATCHES or current ones going on right now I want to add them to my Hatch App too.
So far I have just Muddy and mine from today.
I would really like to add all of our hatches from this year to it.
If any of your remember the details from each hatch I'd love the numbers.

have you read any james patterson?? women’s murder club series, alex cross series, several others (1-2 books, not series)

I like Patterson. I don't think I know any of the others yet.

yes!! as soon as I saw them, I had to set!!! 56 in bator #2 and then I picked 4 “small” eggs and put in j12....numbered remainder and will set as soon as this hatch (lockdown tonight) completes. also saving my 1 egg per day to add to the 2nd set! if you want stats on this hatch for your app, I can get them after lockdown.....

I know I did several quail hatches this year.. not entirely sure on when/how many. All I really have for this year is whatever I put on BYC and a number of eggs set/fertile/hatched for the whole year.

Next year I'm going to try again to keep real records. I know I had 9 buttons hatch, and at least 7 others at random intervals through the summer... maybe more like 10.
