Now I just need them to all make it to hatch! 😬 I was just informed that the other 5 eggs that were set in someone else's incubator are fully developed but not pipping. I may be putting safety holes in these eggs with that information. 😐
Well, if it comes to that. I'm a bad girl. I LOVE watching them develop and I just open up that cover and candle them all, sometimes every single day. :eek:I wouldn't hesitate, once I notice they're internally pipped, to do an air hole in a couple of them and see how hard those shells are to get through. I do keep the humidity pretty high during hatch, though. So far it's worked well for me.

I haven’t checked the last couple of days but over the weekend I had three eggs in the nest. If I pull them, will she continue to lay? I have someone that would like to incubate some...

Usually taking the eggs encourages them to lay more, though she may make a nest elsewhere. Sometimes they decide to start sitting anyway but with only 3 eggs so far I think you should be safe.

I think $5-8 per goose hatching egg is standard for many breeds. About $2-3 per egg for mixes. I paid $25 per egg for these Sebastopol eggs because they're a pricey breed. That's the most I've ever paid for an egg of any species, even the peacock hatching eggs were less, lol.
I'm sure it varies by location as well though.
