Check on ebay and see what others are asking for breeds similar to yours or the same, and whether they're selling any. What is an average clutch size? I'm pretty sure she went broody on seven last time.
Also, any idea on what to charge for hatching eggs? I haven't the foggiest clue. I always hatched all my geese before...
I think $5-8 per goose hatching egg is standard for many breeds. About $2-3 per egg for mixes. I paid $25 per egg for these Sebastopol eggs because they're a pricey breed. That's the most I've ever paid for an egg of any species, even the peacock hatching eggs were less, lol.
I'm sure it varies by location as well though.
I haven’t checked the last couple of days but over the weekend I had three eggs in the nest. If I pull them, will she continue to lay? I have someone that would like to incubate some...

Serv, are your females yearlings? None of my dewlaps lay fertile eggs until they are 2yo.
I'm seeing breeding and nesting, but not paying attention to who is laying where. It is still bitter winter and all eggs freeze quickly.
So good news (finally)
Any eggs that was laid by my female I grabbed and chucked under my broody hen. FINALLY after many infertile goose eggs I got a fertile!
So I chucked 2 more eggs (all laid 2 days apart) and they're both fertile too. So now I've 3 fertile eggs.
Now, I found this out 2-3 weeks ago so I should have a gosling in the next week or 2!
Once the first gosling hatches the next one should hatch 2 days after and the one after that will hatch 2 days after the 2nd laid egg
I couldn't put more under my hen as she is quite small so the rest of the eggs laid will be left in the nest until she gets broody.
My incubator is occupied atm with 20 chicken eggs so it's up to momma goose now![]()
