But I do agree.. they both have been caught flip flopping their views.... what person wants any president that doesnt even know what they stand for. ... none of the above ..

I think that this next president is going to be a "throwaway" they are going to get a bad rap no matter how good of job they do.. we are soo much in the hole that there is nothing they can do in 4 years to fix much.. even if they did everything perfect our economy and war situation and health care situation will not be fixed.. it is like turning an aircraft carrier.. it takes a reall long time just to get it to start turning.

* You know, I think Zyklonian Dark Gothic Rancher may be on to something. . . . . Maybe we should start a drive for everyone to ALL vote for ourselves! Remind them what "government of the people, by the people, and for the people" means-- and who the people are!!!! Whadayall think??

I'm actually thinking of voting for Bob Barr or Chuck Balwin (Constitution Party).

As far as experience goes, I don't think it matters. Our least experienced president to date: Abraham Lincoln. In fact a lot of scientific studies show we more often make better more thought out decisions when we have less experience.

Not endorsing Obama, just putting the thought out there.

I think it's a generational thing for me but I just don't see a single good reason to vote for McCain.

obama promises stuff that he legally couldnt do if he was president. they all lie it just depends on which lier is better

You think Lincoln couldn't have handled the responsibility of "the button"? Personally I think he dealt with situations at least as difficult and complicated, just different.

I'm just trying to make the point that experience is less important than being able to weigh many variables in a complex decision. This has been shown in scientific studies over and over again. Again, not endorsing Obama. I just personally think that experience is not a good reason to not vote for him.

I agree with you, Tom! What could have been more complicated than brothers fighting against brothers in some of the bloodiest battles in history? And he didn't have instant telecommunication either!

12 Acres,

I agree, I couldn't even bring myself to sponsor the athlete with the $25 she asked for via a mailing. I just could not justify supporting sending an American to a Communist country to help their economy. Plus the offer of a free sweatshirt was underwhelming because I would never wear a sweatshirt(or any clothing for that matter) that said Beijing on it...

d.k :

* Oh-- I just heard the President of Georgia make that announcement as part of his press conference reported by BBC World News on PBS and was wondering. The Georgians can't vote in the US elections, so what's the point of making promises like that??

Maybe he is trying to rally votes from their family members who are citizens? Mostly assuming they will call/write their family here in the U.S. but also many citizens do live overseas and vote via absentee ballot.

I still seriously consider writing in Ron Paul from time to time...
