He definitely isn't a Ameraucana. I'm not sure why the seller would advertise him as such. I'd assume BYM of some kind. The yellow legs are a dead giveaway. True Ameraucana Key physical traits include a pea comb, slate-colored legs, and a distinctive "beard and muffs" (fluffy feathers around the face). The variety of plumage colors, including blue-gray, black, brown, red, or white.
Your boy is definitely handsome and if he's a great rooster that's all that matters. Just know that any offspring he produces will be a BYM and the egg color will be a mystery.
