Black Australorp Gender

My first chickens are roughly 10 weeks old now. Our black australorp has a much more developed than the rest of our flock. Slightly concerned she may be a rooster when we were supposed to have all hens due to local regulations on roosters. Any opinions would be helpful.

What makes you say that?

its comb is very large and it has rusty red feathers on its wings, its color is also inconsistent

I agree that your Black Australorp and your Easter Egger are both males. What a run of bad luck on your part! I hope you are able to find a good solution.

See, yours is likely female. And it does have a similar pattern.
But not the same. The bird in question(the OP’s bird, the EE.) has a cockerel face and pattern. My vote doesn’t change.

Yea I didn’t notice the EE I agree it’s a cockerel too.

Well that makes me feel better that there’s hope we’re not dealing with two roosters we’re going to DNA test them to be sure

Oh I'm 100% in agreeance! Not trying to sway anyone. Scherneyfx seemed surprised we all thought it was a Cockrell. I was just trying to show him how a hen would look, to further reinforce that his is a cockrell.

I am a female. Based on your earlier post it seemed like you thought the Easter egger could be female, but it seems everyone believes the Easter egger and Australorp are male

EE at that age should have a smaller lighter comb and a different color.
