Breeding Project Ideas

So my girls are starting to lay and I'm hoping to start a breeding project to learn more about genetics. Here's what I have to work with:
Easter Egger
Sapphire Olive Egger (Hens only)
Amberlink (Hens only)
Prairie Bluebell Egger (Hens only)
Australorp
Maran
Orpington
Wyandotte
Brahma (Hens Only)
Dominique (Hens Only)
Plymouth Rock
Jackie Red Ranger
Cornish Rock
Japanese Bantam (Roosters Only)
Pekin/Cochin Bantam (Roosters Only)
Silkie
Polish (Hens Only)
Rosecomb Bantam (Hens Only)
Old English Game Bantam (Roosters Only)
Ayam Cemani
Aisian Black
Backyard Mixes
Unidentified Breeds

And here's what I plan on getting next year:
Ameraucana
Salmon Faverolles
Porcelain D'uccle
Seabright
Jersey Giant
Ayam Ketawa/Laughing Chicken(if I can find them)

I'm open to any ideas for unique mixes or long-term projects. All my birds are hatchery quality except my Ayam Cemanis which are bred to SOP.

If you breed a non-barred rooster with a Barred Rock hen or another breed with barring, it will produce sexlinks. Males will be barred and females will not.

If I were you, I would play with barring. Its a fun one, especially when ghost barring pops up. That is if you have a dominant white somewhere in your flock. It makes it a lot easier.

Perhaps try making a bantam version?

You could start with Ayam Cemani or Asian Black and perhaps Sebright??

Ooh barring is fun! I've got a cuckoo Silkie that I want to experiment with. I just got a Dominique pullet too

I never thought of trying to make a bantam version of anything! So many possibilities!
