Bumblefoot?

When my hen had bumble foot I just kept soaking till I could gently pull off the scab then pulled out the plug soaked again put triple antibiotic inside the hole wrapped and left her alone for 3-4 days when I looked at her foot again it was healing nicely I just washed it good dried and applied more triple then wrapped till completely healed over.

Have you tried to pull off the scab?

Yeah I've tried and it doesn't want to come off yet. I have MicrocynAH which after using it for a few days will make the scab come off on it's own so I'm going to start using that on the chickens since their scabs don't want to come off with the iodine

Do what ever you can to avoid cutting, that should be last resort. My Brahma hen had bumbles on both feet she lived inside with us for close to a month since it was in Jan when I started treating her. I'll have to look up MicrocynAH probably something I would want in their med chest.

I've never had to deal with bumblefoot (yet) but has anyone tried that drawing salve Smile's Prid? It was mentioned in one of the videos and I know Walmart carries it. I was wondering if anyone has used it and how well it works.
