Which variety would you guys describe the Russian Orloff to be? Red Spangled?? Here is a picture of one of my cockerels who is already showing signs of a high quality show bird

I figured it out @LilJoe! You were right about the Silkie. It can be rose or walnut. Walnut being RRPP. I would do walnut since it is in the Standard.
I also found out Penedesca aren't in the Standard, how did you find the standard for them. Also, should I use the bantam standard for Orloffs in case the British one is different? The British one is bad.

There Isn't a project standard either. I looked at a characteristics website for them and compared it to a picture of the bird. It lines up well.

can I see the insides of those too? I'll go look at the inside of my store bought brown egg too.
Wheaten Ameraucana. Normal blue. Hard to tell from pic though

Mine were from yesterday BTW
Mine were from three weeks ago and just a couple days ago.
huh cool. if not for your venomous critters I might just be willing to live there for the year round forage. :D
There are no venomous critters here! Timber rattlers are so rare, the last time someone got bit was several years ago, and I'm pretty sure it was just a dog too. Who didn't even die, I think.
If it's alright with you guys, I'm going to start another spreadsheet.
This spreadsheet will be used for the genetics controlling physical characteristics such as comb type, leg color, eye color, earlobe color, number of toes, crested/muffed/bearded, silkied, vulture hocks, and hen feathering.
For now, I will be the only one working on this spreadsheet.
That was my hopes.
This thread is HUGE... I will read through, but I don't have time right this minute. Check out this calculator, it's for horses, so you would certainly have to modify it, but it's easy to deal with as it is both a "simple" and "complex" calculator combined.
http://www.animalgenetics.us/Equine/CCalculator1.asp

You choose the color for both parents (the reason for the grey button is that a horse is a color and greys with age, so they could start brown or black and turn white over 5-10 years) then, it asks you more detailed questions as to the genetics and the better you know, the better the calculator. For example, black only asks you about the red factor and asks if it is a red carrier (Ee) or Homozygous Black (EE), where as Bay asks for the Red Factor and the Agouti information, both allow you to say "unknown" and then it will factor all options in, but if you can provide more information you get a better answer. Make sense?
sounds like our plan for recessive white. You don't know what's hidden under it.

Red mille fluer. Or just mille fluer, I'm not sure.

I have yet to add anything for pink. I actually have all of these in one file with layers, but these are the possible outcomes so far.
Looks good.
Varieties are being added to the breed spreadsheet.
From there we can determine what color varieties we need to work with, and consequently the genotypes associated with creating them.
Sounds about right.
