Any chance the calculator can be installed into this website as its own page? That way changes can be made by the developers without having to affect the whole website.Yup!

x2I also think it would be best if we didn't have ads on the calculator page.
If we did that, it would need to be integrated with the XenForo permissions system, which would add a huge amount of complication to it, as discussed previously.I disagree. I think guests should be able to see the genetics calculator but have limited use. In order to get full use of the genetics calculator a person has to have a BYC account.
I don't think that's a good idea. If BYC members have unlimited access it means people with banned accounts or who share a banned IP cannot access all if any of it.I disagree. I think guests should be able to use it. Guests should always have full access to the educational side of byc, especially if people are using it for something educational. (For some reason.)I disagree. I think guests should be able to see the genetics calculator but have limited use. There are members who have volunteered to help develop it, like @PuzzleSilkie, but I guess we were just trying to gauge how interested you are in adding it to BYCI'm open to adding it to BYC, but would have to determine what it would require / cost to get it developed, and try to gauge how much interest would be out there. Also, we'd need to make sure we were creating something that was uniquely interesting and valuable / helpful compared to all the other options that are already out there.
Earlier in this thread, I believe there was discussion around creating a "proof of concept"... like in Excel / Google sheets or similar? That way it could be fleshed-out before doing a full-on web development.
