Solved BYH down?

I can't log onto to BYH this morning getting a big ol FORBIDDEN sign in my face. Another member from BYH just messaged me and said BYH has been down since yesterday afternoon. Something going on over there?

Hey all, we've been digging into this for the last 12 hours. We thought it was just a single-user having problems, but turns out it's more.

Short version: We did some "server hardening" to protect against threats, but just like all this stuff, when you do things to completely keep bad guys out, you sometimes keep out a few good ones too

We're working to tweak just the right bits to open things up enough for everyone to get in, but baddies to be blocked.

Any idea why a few of us can get in but not others?

No idea, but it's probably based on IP addresses.

Oh, to clarify: The sister sites (and the BYC store) are hosted on a different set of servers than BYC.

For the 4, 372 time, I just tried to open BYH, SS and TEG........AGAIN!

Let's keep this thread specific to the problem, and move any chat to other threads.

We're still digging into this. We believe it is a firewall issue because it is impacting some users and not others.

We're wondering if the browser and version could also be impacting things. Or the geographical location of the users. basically we're trying to find anything that is a consistency between those that are unable to access the sister sites.
