Hi, guys I found a hen or pullet in my backyard today while putting my chicken away for the night. She just showed up and choose to put herself in the coop. Do anyone know the breed she is and possible the gender of not a female. It was late and pitch black outside so I only got one picture. Could she be a bantam?

Personally, I'm not sure of the breed, but it may be a male based on a couple greenish feathers I'm seeing.

When I read the headline my first thought was "Good thing it wasn't an ostrich, because there is no backyardostriches.com". Then I wondered if this post would have ever been created if it showed up in the front yard. Finally, I concluded I'm not getting enough sleep.

Don't tell where you live or more people might be dumping roosters in your backyard. 😁

i went outside today in the afternoon and seen the chicken in my neighbors side, they have chickens so it might be theirs. But it squeezed in between the fence to my side again.
