Update:
While I was going through the gate to the duck yard, Colonel slipped out between my legs and got out where the puppies were. They messed up his whole back so now his backside to the start of his neck is bare. He's back indoors again and Duchess was moved to the chicken yard again.
I seriously feel like I'm failing these birds

Oh my goodness. Keep him in away from flies. Use Veterycin wound and infection spray if you have it. Did they just pull his feathers out or tear up his skin?

My dad already put bag balm on his back.
Well it was bloody but his backside is naked now

Sorry for the poor guy! Do what @Miss Lydia said wash it/ re-bandage it every day. Pics could help.

Besides his normal feed, what else could I give him? He seems a bit weak and I want to give him foods that will perk him up.

You can give him some Poultry Nutri drench is get for a boost and he sure needs one right now.

Gave him the nutri drench.
Since my dad has been the one picking him up, I didn't realize how thin he was. What would help put weight on him?

Aww bless! Try some puppy kibble along with his feed. Make sure it’s small enough he can swallow. Or kitten food dry for both. He’s been through an awful lot.
