For the most part though, they look the exact same and are like 10x cheeper. Plus roosters aren’t the main focus, so whether or not they look like a crow doesn’t matter much.

I would pick Svarthona over Ayam Cemani, but both are susceptible to frost on the combs.

You could mix in beardless russian orloff genes to get no comb or wattles.

Breda Fowl has no comb, but they're also pretty docile I heard to the extent of being pushovers.

What the… I have single comb Ayam Cemani but I’ve never heard of Dubbed Cemani! These are probably pretty hard to find??? How big are they? Is the only difference a cushion/pea comb vs a single comb or are they smaller than regulars?

Is it an Ayan Cemani because those are interesting looking chickens!

I have Ayam Cemani hens and love them, but the body is too big, too heavy, single comb and tail upright. I thought about using them for the fibro melanistic genes, but Svart Hona have the same traits except smaller size so it would be one less thing to worry about.

They have about the same pea comb as Sarama and Cubalaya, but that gorgeous coloring would show up in leakage for several generations. They are VERY pretty though!!

The Svarthona I've seen available is larger than the Cemani. Size is what I'm looking for. But the dubbed comb is tight.

The hens have no comb and a lean body, but I wonder how hard those feathered feet would be to get rid of?
